With a working area 3,250 x 3,210 mm and a maximum roll width of 3,200 mm, the SP4000 is a fully automated laser system dedicated for soft signage applications such as banners, flags, or light boxes. By combining an automated solution with high cutting speeds and convincing accuracy, high production volumes with perfect quality are achieved in a highly reliable and efficient finishing process. The large format laser can be flexibly configured around a conveyor belt with feeder unit and unloading table – depending on the desired workflow. All components are perfectly matched. Available laser powers: 100, 200, and 400 W.

Cut and Seal

The laser beam melts the material while cutting and this results in clean, perfectly sealed edges with no fraying. Another advantage: thanks to the contactless and tool-free process, even elastic material can be cut distortion-free and reliably.

Flying Optics

Unlike many other machines on the market, the SP Series does not carry the laser source on the working head or on the axis. This would limit the movement system in its cutting speed as well as the laser power significantly. The Trotec R&D team focused on maximizing the performance: The laser source is installed stationary in the body of the machine, the laser beam is carried to the material via mirrors over the entire working area. Since the laser source is fixed, there are no restrictions on the installed laser power. This is a crucial productivity advantage: For typical soft signage applications, we propose a laser power of 200 watts to achieve maximum productivity.

Optimized Exhaust and Laser Bed

A well-thought-out exhaust system is the key for a clean and smooth cutting edge. The design of our conveyor solution ensures the best extraction of dusts and gases. At the same time, the material is held down by vacuum to the laser bed to ensure process stability. In addition to that, Trotec developed a travelling exhaust at the laser head especially for soft signage applications. It ensures efficient removal of smoke at its origin. The operator is protected and legal regulations are fulfilled – even at highest cutting speeds.
